There have been many E-Band (71 GHz to 86 GHz) projects. Some have been fixed point-to-point and some mechanically stearable.
The constellations have ranged from BPSK to 128 QAM
Dish sizes have ranged from 9 inches to 4 feet.
Work included FET bias control (via microcontroller).
For the stearable dishes the linear motors were also controlled by the microcontroller and guided by a phase array of antennae.
